I've been buying pork belly from your stand at the farmers market and I wanted to share my recipe and some pictures with you!
- Rub belly slab with salt, pepper, and Chinese 5 spice powder.
- Make a marinade of soy sauce, rice vinegar, sugar, chili flakes, garlic, and sesame oil.
- Put the pork in a casserole dish and cover with the marinade.
- Throw some cinnamon sticks and whole cloves on and around it.
- Let the belly slab marinate for one hour to overnight in the fridge.
- Cover dish in foil and bake for about two to two and a half hours at 285.
- Remove the foil, turn the oven up to 465 and let it bake for an additional 20 minutes.
- I let it sit for about 10 minutes and then I slice it up and serve immediately.
